At Millennium, we understand how confusing everything can be after an accident (filing the insurance claim, accident reports, choosing a repair shop, etc.). So choosing the right repair facility is a big decision! We'd like to point out a few things you should know before making your decision....

FIRST IMPORTANT FACT - You are not required to use the repair facility recommended by your insurance company. Choosing the repair facility is YOUR CHOICE.

Call a few repair facilities and ask a few questions, such as...

  • Do they offer a warranty/guarantee on the repairs - a warranty/guarantee totally separate from an insurance company?
  • Are their repair technicians I-CAR & ASE certified?
  • Does their paint supplier certify their paint techs?
  • Can they provide you a few references on their work?

If they answer "yes" to the questions above, then you've found a good repair facility!

At Millennium Paint & Body Works....

  • We carry a Lifetime Warranty on each repair as long as you own the vehicle. Our warranty is not connected to any insurance company.
  • Each repair tech is I-CAR & ASE certified.
  • Our paint supplier has trained & certified our paint techs.
  • We can provide references on our work.

If you should have any questions concerning choosing a repair facility or understanding the insurance claims process, please give us a call. Our staff will be happy to help you.

  1. Must I get three estimates?
No - unless your policy states otherwise but there is no law that requires you to obtain three estimates. You have the right to choose the repair facility for your repair.
  2. What is the best way to receive quality repairs & get my car back as quickly as possible?
Use a reputable & knowledgeable repair facility for your repairs.
  3. If I go to a drive-in claims service, do I have to take the vehicle to it's preferred repair facility?
No - again the repair facility is your choice.
  4. Will the insurance company guarantee the repair work?
An insurance company or other third-party cannot effectively guarantee the quality and thoroughness of the repairs. At Millennium, we guarantee our own work on each repair for as long as you own the vehicle.
  5. What happens when another repair facility provides an estimate that is different from yours?
Differences in repair estimates are common. Some repair operations are based on the service writers judgment and may vary. A difference in the estimating software may also cause variations.
  6. Explain the difference about aftermarket, reconditioned or used parts?
Original equipment manufacturer's (OEM) parts are made by the manufacturer of your vehicle and are generally higher quality and fit better than parts that are made by non-OEM suppliers. The decision to use aftermarket, used or reconditioned parts on your vehicle instead of OEM parts should always be your choice. However, many insurance policies now give the insurance company the sole right to make this economic decision. Be sure you know the terms of your policy.
